SYZO Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
What we collect
When you apply for a room or contact us, we collect: your name, email address, phone number, and the answers you give in our screening questions (who’s moving in, move-in timing, employment status, income band, smoking, pets, length of stay, adverse-credit history, and guarantor availability). If you use our chat assistant, we collect the messages you send.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use this information to assess your suitability for a tenancy, to contact you about your enquiry, and to arrange viewings. Our lawful bases are your consent (which you give when you submit the form) and our legitimate interest in assessing applications and responding to enquiries. Where we go on to enter a tenancy with you, we also process it to take steps to form and perform that contract.
Who sees it
Your information is handled by SYZO and the service providers that run our application and messaging systems on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it — to process your enquiry or application, and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations (for example, tax and right-to-rent record-keeping requirements). When we no longer need it for those purposes, we delete it. If you’d like to know how long we hold a specific type of information, contact us using the details below.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop using it, at any time.
